Colophon

This is a working archive of essays and notes about software engineering, artificial intelligence, accessibility, cognition, and the human judgment that sits underneath all of them.

Design

The site borrows from engineers’ notebooks, library catalogues, and old technical plates: archive navy, worn ivory, restrained brass, and diagrams that suggest systems without pretending to explain them. The paper is allowed to look like paper. The writing is meant to remain the loudest thing on the page.

Type and construction

Instrument Serif is reserved for the nameplate. Source Serif carries the headings, with Georgia for long reading and DM Mono for labels and marginalia. The pages are built as ordinary, accessible web documents with durable links and a standard RSS feed.
